“Process Technology Leaders Network” – Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the procedures by Lam Research Corporation, as well as its corporate subsidiaries and affiliates (“Lam” or “Company”), regarding the collection, use, disclosure, transfer across borders and other processing of information we collect from you when you register on Lam “Process Technology Leaders Network” web-based platform (“Platform”), to be eligible to join the senior process engineers’ event scheduled on July 31st, 2026 in Santa Clara, Bay Area (“Event”) and/or when you visit any of our affiliated websites (“Websites”) globally, including lamresearch.com and lamcapital.com.
If you do not want us to handle your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Platform. By using the Platform, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and any Company policies referenced herein or otherwise applicable to your use of our Platform.
We remind you that registration to the Platform does not grant you with the right to join the Event. Participation to the Event is by Lam invitation only.
Types of information collected
We collect the following information:
identification, including name and user identification, Internet Protocol (IP) address, other metadata contained in communications you send to us;
contact information, including email address, physical address, telephone number, fax number;
information on your current employment status, including current title/role, company, location, LinkedIn profile URL;
any other information you voluntarily provide to the Company or Company personnel through the Platform;
data collected through cookies, including information about your device and browsing actions, such as your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system, device identifier, location and language, internet service provider, browser type, and web pages viewed immediately before and after visiting our Platform and Websites, information you search for on our Websites, and other technical data. only if you are selected / invited by Lam to join the Event, additional details such as travel details, ID/passport information, dietary preferences, accommodation needs, resume.
Sources for collecting the information
We collect such information from the following categories of sources:
Directly from you. In particular, when you register on the Platform; when you provide Lam with the above additional information once you are selected / invited by Lam to join the Event; when you voluntarily provide further information to the Company or Company personnel through the Platform.
Third Parties, including Service Providers. For example, your internet service provider, service providers that you authorize to provide information about you; and/or service providers that the Company uses and other third parties that the Company chooses to collaborate or work with.
Using cookies and automatic collection methods. The Company and its service providers may collect information from the computer, tablet, phone, or other device that you use to access our Platform and Websites, or that you use to open an email from the Company. The Company does not respond to “do not track signals.”
Purposes and legal basis for collecting the information
We collect, use, retain, and disclose your personal information for the purposes described below. We reserve the right to update or amend this Policy at any time, without notice, to update, add, or remove the purposes for which the Company uses personal information:
Platform account registration and maintenance (including managing user relationship, communicating with you);
Screening and selection – among users enrolling with the Platform – of the attendees to the Event;
Management of the Event;
Assessing your credentials for job opportunities within Lam;
Measuring user engagement with the Platform and/or Websites;
Handle and record users’ rights requests, including opt-ins and opt-outs;
Monitor, protect and improve the Company’s security assets and resources, including devices, systems, customer data, intellectual property, infrastructure, and network, conduct investigations and respond to or pursue legal actions or complaints;
Comply with laws, regulatory requirements and to respond to lawful requests, court orders and legal processes.
We collect and process your personal data based on the following legal bases:
Based on your initial registration and management of the Event, to perform a contract to which you are a party, or to perform a task requested by you;
Based on our legitimate interests, to evaluate your credentials (also after your original submission has been withdrawn or rejected), for other job opportunities with the Company; as well as enforce compliance with any Lam policies and procedures;
Based on our legal obligations, to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, or respond to lawful requests, court orders, and legal processes;
The provision of the above data is mandatory; indeed, lacking such provision, Lam would not be able to perform a task required by you, comply with legal obligations and/or pursue its legitimate interests (which will be carefully balanced with your data protection rights and interests).
Sharing of the information
We disclose the above categories of personal information to the following categories of third parties for a business purpose, in some cases as directed by you. For example, in the preceding 12 months, the Company has disclosed your information to:
Corporate Affiliates. For example, our corporate affiliates may share business processes and common data systems.
Third parties and service providers that provide products or services to us. For example, companies that help us support our Platform and Websites, or that provide services to you. The Company may use third parties or service providers to help with auditing interactions and transactions with you, addressing security, fixing errors, helping us with advertising or marketing, maintaining accounts and providing customer service, helping with our internal research, and verifying service quality or safety.
Government authorities. For example, tax authorities, safety and health authorities, law enforcement, and the like in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.
Where applicable and to the extent your personal data are transferred to countries that do not provide for an adequate level of data protection from an EU, Swiss, or UK law perspective, we will base the respective transfer on appropriate safeguards under the applicable laws, such as standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can ask for a copy of such appropriate safeguards by contacting us as set out in the “Contact Us” section in this Privacy Notice.
Location of data
The personal information collected through the Platform and/or Websites may be downloaded to servers located in the United States and other countries maintained by service providers under contract with the Company.
Personal data retention
Your personal data will be retained for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, which in most cases do not exceed 1 year starting from the registration to the Platform or (if you are selected / invited to join the Event) the Event date.
When we no longer need to use your personal data to comply with contractual or statutory obligations, we will remove it from our systems and records and/or take steps to properly anonymize it so that you can no longer be identified from it, unless we need to keep your information, including personal data, to comply with statutory retention periods, such as for tax, audit, or legal compliance purposes, for a legally prescribed time period thereafter, or if we need it to preserve evidence within statutes of limitation.
Once the applicable retention period expires, we will delete your personal information.
Data subjects’ rights
In accordance with the applicable laws (and within the limits therein set forth), you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data.
Right of access. You have the right to confirm with us whether your personal data is processed, and if it is, to request access to that personal data including the categories of personal data processed, the purposes of the processing, and the recipients or categories of recipients. This is not an absolute right, as we have to take into account the interests of others. You have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data undergoing processing, but we may also charge a fee if you want to request more than one copy.
Right to rectification. You have the right to obtain from us rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you. Depending on the purposes of the processing, you may have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten). You have the right to ask us to erase personal data concerning you.
Right to restriction of processing. In limited circumstances, you have the right to request that we restrict processing of your personal data.
Right to data portability. You have the right to receive personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and you may have the right to transmit that personal data to another entity without hindrance from us.
Right to object. Under certain circumstances, you may have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of your personal data by us and we can be required to stop processing your personal data. In particular, you have the right to object (opt-out) to the processing of your data for different job opportunities in the Company (once your original submission has been withdrawn or rejected), both during the submission process and also anytime thereafter.
Right to withdraw consent. If you have declared your consent for any personal data processing activities, you can withdraw this consent at any time with future effect. Such a withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the consent withdrawal.
